Pastor Dave was the oldest of five boys. He was born in Bellefonte. He live there until he was three years old, then he moved to Sunbury. He majored in Psychology at Lock Haven University and graduated there in 1982. He then attended United Seminary in Dayton, Ohio graduating in 1986. That year had many changes in his life since he also married Jean in May and then received his first appointment in July. He was appointed to four churches in Liberty, PA in the Liberty Charge. He moved in 1993 to West Milton with his family which now included his children, Chad and Lisa. At West Milton, he was in charge of the three churches in the West Milton Charge. In 1996, he accepted a position as the Chaplain at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, Pa. He was in this position until 2000 when he returned to the church setting after the hospital did some restructuring. He now serves the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church located outside Gaines, PA.

He enjoys fishing, biking, golfing, hunting, cross-country skiing and amateur radio.
