IT’S NEW!

COMMUNITY MOUNTAIN MUSIC JAM”

The Patton String Band has been asked to anchor a new music program at the new
Macon County Public Library. The program will be the “ Community Mountain Music Jam”

At this jam we will be playing not only old time spirituals, but also traditional mountain tunes,
mountain fun songs, old time country and bluegrass. Here again, anyone who sings or plays a musical instrument is encouraged to join us on stage! Members of the band will be scattered among the other musicians  and will not play as a group, but will be just another Jammer musician.

Here is how the jam will operate. Fred Kirkland will MC the jam. Fred will ask, in turn, each musician on stage what song they want to sing/play and in what key. The musician will announce their song & key and then, the musician starts their song and all of the other musicians plays along!  After the song is completed, Fred will ask the next musician for their song & key and the process is repeated until the
jam is completed.

What time will the Jam start?  7 pm
How long will the jam last?   About an hour and a half
Where will the jam be held? Meeting room Macon County Public Library
