June 2007

The annual “Spring-Ring-String-Sing” was another success!
It was spring.

First we had some great food and then we had music by the following groups:

Old Time Mountain Music Jam

The 3rd “Old Time Mountain Music Jam Was big success!
It was held at the Memorial United Methodist Fellowship Hall
because the Patton Fellowship Hall is under renovation.
We had 20 Jammer musicians and forty some Jammer spectators!
A lot of the Jammer musicians were new,
Jim Passmore on the fiddle,
Pat Nations on the mandolin
and
“Captain Bob” (ex-policeman from NY) on the guitar!
Welcome you guys! We had a great time. Finger food at the break was great!

“One highlight of the evening was Martha Wood playing Bill Cansler’s (and his cousin Virginia Cansler Wilson’s)
grandfather’s refurbished fiddle. They had not heard it played since the early 1930’s. Martha played it!”
