Overview
Park Memorial provides many wonderful, Christian based programs for children ages three through fifth grade.
These programs include:
Wednesday Afternoon Kids Klub
Sunday Night Kids Klub
Sunday School
Children's sermon, Children's church, Children's choir
Children's hand bell choir, acolytes, holiday activities
(i.e. Esater Egg Hunt, Fall Festival, Christmas Part)
Vacation Bible School and many more summer activities.
Sunday Morning Activities
Sunday School is for all ages of children and adults.
A nursery is provided for children ages birth through three years of age.
Children are divided into the appropriate class for Sunday School based on their age or their grade in school.
During the 11:00a.m. worship service, children have the opportunity to participate in "Children's Time".
This is a special time for children to hera a short devotional that highlights a biblical truth in terms they can understand.
Before the sermon in the 11:00a.m. worship service, the children are dismissed to go to"Children's Church". At this time, children meet to hear their own
specialized message.
Children also have the opportunity to be an acolyte for the 11:00a.m. worship service. Acolytes have the task of lighting the candles before the service.
This is open to children third through fifth grade.
Kids Klub
Kids Klub is the title of the mid-week meetig for children here at Park Memorial.
Kids Klub is geared for children between the ages of three through fifth grade. This program is designed to help lay a biblical foundation on which
children can build their lives, to help children to learn responsibility and leadership, and to allow children to take part in a program that is
enjoyable and appealing to their interests.
The current curriculum being used at Kids Klub is entitled"All Stars for Jesus".
This curriculum helps to build a strong, Christian foundation for the chlidren of Park Memorial and the city of Troy.
Schedule
3:15 - 3:30 pick-up from school.
Currently the van picks up from three different school locations here in Troy.
Troy Elementary, Pike Liberal Arts, and First Baptist's Mother's Day Out.
3:30 - 3:45 Play time
3:45 - 4:00 Snack
4:00 - 5:15 Lesson, activities, and crafts
5:15 - 5:30 Play time, pick up
Sunday Night Kids Klub
This program for the children meets from 5:00 until 7:00 each Sunday night.
The children's choir and hand bell choir rehearse during this time.
A snack is provided for the children after rehearsal. Then, the children go from snack to their class.
This class time consists of lessons, activities, and crafts.
