Hello Good People,
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you today.
Growing up, one of my older brothers had received this 'prize' of a
plaque with special paint which 'glowed in the dark' which I liked. It had Psalm 119:105
on it. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path"
That is a wonderful passage for us today, for our graduates, for any
who may be afraid to step forward, for all who need reassurance.
Often times we forget that God is lighting our Path before us, and
there are some things we can see ahead, do some planning for, but often times we do not
know all that is ahead of us. That can frustrate us.
When I worked at Wesley Woods on Lake Geneva, there was this path that
goes around the lake. It is public access, and there are different parts that are lit and
unlit as the owners of the land see fit. People walk around it all parts of the day and
night, and some use it to run during the day. If you are in a hurry and it is night, you
still do not run, there are too many roots, and uneven parts that will send you down to
the ground.
Even walking is hard unless you have "lamp unto your feet" so
that you can see these uneven parts.
In our lives God provides that Lamp unto our feet that we can walk
safely each day.
Sometimes we want to take that lamp and send it far ahead of us, to
show what is way up in the future. This can freeze us in our tracks, when we worry about
all the things the future holds. God points it back to the ground. God is asking us to
take those walking steps that move forward, that we can make them sure and sound without
tripping on a root, or twisting on an uneven part. The lamp unto our feet reminds us to
take the steps forward that we can see. The Light to our path gives us general direction.
IN ALL THINGS WE ARE TO TRUST GOD. Worry less, trust more. Come out of
our frozen- ness and take those steps before us.
There may be times in the light of day when we can run the path, but do
not be afraid if all there is, is a lamp that you can only see what is before you. Take
the steps and trust in Jesus.
Prayer requests:

Many of you noticed there was no message last Wednesday. Too many other things to do. We
were taking Larissa to different doctors and different tests. The diagnosis appears to be
Chrones Disease, which they don't know the cause, there is no cure at present, so we just
treat the symptoms as they appear. Larissa still does not feel well, and has lost some 28
pounds in the last 5 weeks.
