Park Avenue has a
fine musical program throughout the year. The Sanctuary Choir is a group of
volunteer adults with 10 - 15 participants. They rehearse at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesdays from September through June and share an anthem and lead the music
of the 10:30 worship service. They also may perform several special works of
music, cantatas or theme services. New singers are always welcome, just show
up on a Wednesday during the school year! |

The Handbell Choir
formerly consisted of 6-12 ringers, and rehearsed from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Mondays during the school year. The Handbells assisted in the presentation of
the Gospel, usually monthly, throughout the year. The bell choir is currently
searching for a director (volunteer position). APPLICANTS please contact Former Bell Director, Ann Barnes
The "Chimers," a hand-chime
choir formerly consisting of 8-13 children, is currently on hiatus, while a
new volunteer director is sought. Since this ministry is shared with the
handbell director, applicants for director, or to play in the group, should
contact Former Chime Director,

BIBLE STUDY
This group participates in,
or organizes, several events throughout the church year which has included a
Valentine’s dinner/dance, a booth at the Christmas Fair, cookie-making for a
local High School choral concert, the worship service on Youth Sunday, and
several fund raisers for missions. They often plan a missions work-camp trip
during the summer after enough funds have been raised. They learn a lot, and
have lots of fun eating pizza, cookies, ice cream, skiing, white-water rafting,
playing paintball and taking fun trips. They have a room of their own on our
lower floor complete with soda machine and decorated with graphics and artwork
of their own making. The Lord is working through these young people.

MIXED BOWLING TEAM
Here are some of these wonderful
ladies working on crafts for our annual Christmas Fair. The Craft Workers meets
every month to work on various handcraft projects. They have made over 700
sleeping bags for the homeless in Chambersburg. This ambitious group of up to
15 ladies makes a handmade quilt for every baby born to our church congregation
and knitted or crocheted prayer shawls for our elderly, shut-ins, or others in
need of the warmth of comforting arms. They also make hundreds of Christmas
decorations to sell at the Christmas Fair, held the second Saturday of
November, which benefits our church-supported missionaries or a building
project.
