Our Mission
Our mission is to joyfully serve the Lord through love, prayer, encouragement, education, and outreach.
To fulfill this mission we are developing an education, resource, and information center for those interested in starting and growing parish nurse-health ministry programs.
Christ sent out the Apostles to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal (Luke 9:2)
Welcome to the RNR Parish Nurse Community Outreach Homepage. On this website, you will find information about parish nursing in general and in the United Methodist Church. Our Calendar for most of this year can also be found on it's own page, as well as a special section for United Methodist Parish Nurses.
Note: parish nursing is also called faith community nursing. We have chosen to retain the parish nurse title that this ministry began with.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to facilitate the healing mission of faith communities and enhance their community outreach by promoting wholistic wellness of body, mind, and spirit, as well as preventative health practices for individuals, families, congregations, and communities.
The About Us page has information about Rural Nurse Resource and the people involved in this ministry. Our Links page connects you to parish nursing and health ministry websites and other resources. Current and available presentations, courses, and continuing education offerings can be found on the educational offerings page. There is also a page with suggestions on you can help to support this ministry.
