R.U.1.2? YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
(Wednesday 11/18/2009)
Wednesday Weekly
Hello everyone!
The holidays are approaching, which means we will all be very busy. Please remember the reasons that we celebrate these upcoming holidays and enjoy them! I hope I haven’t forgotten anything that is coming up!
I do want to apologize. There is one big announcement that I did not talk about at our parent meeting this past Sunday and that is about our Parent Shopping Day Out. The youth wanted to do something for the parents of younger children in our church and this is a need that has been expressed by several in our congregation. This event will happen on Saturday, December 12th from 9am to 3pm. Can you help us? We will need “all hands on deck.”
R.U.1.2? YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
We’re preparing the Youth Room for Christmas this week. Join us at 4pm and feel free to bring in your own decorations to donate for our room. We’ll also be decorating two doors for the door decorating contest! Come with your festive attitudes and ideas! Next Sunday is close to the last Sunday in our Friendship series.
GIRLS OF GRACE
There is no Girls of Grace next week due to the holiday. However, we will meet back up the following Wednesday at 4pm.
FEED THE NEED
Join us on December 13th for the Annual Feed the Need mission project!! We’ll meet at PHUMC at 1:30pm to travel to Central UMC to gather with other youth to feed the homeless in our city. Dress warmly because we are usually outdoors. We will stop on our way back for dinner and plan to be back to PHUMC around 7pm. Please bring $5 and a dozen cookies per participant. The youth participate in an annual event called Feed the Need with other United Methodist youth groups around the Albuquerque area. This year we are collecting the following and more: cookies to feed the homeless for dinner, socks, and decks of cards. Our group is responsible for bringing 120 dozen cookies for dinner on December 13th. Questions: ask Halecia at phumcyouth@cybermesa.com or 898-1327 ext. 233. We would love to have parents join us as we have in the past. We are in charge of serving dinner this year. The larger our numbers, the easier it will be!
CONFIRMATION
Confirmands, please bring your Bibles and binders. We’re meeting on Wednesdays at 5:30pm now. See you then!
3D: BIBLE STUDY
Come be a disciple digging deeper as we study 1 John on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. Bring your Bible!
2010 SUMMER MISSION TRIP
Reserve your spot for our next summer mission trip to Illinois by January 15th. There is a deposit due of only $50 per reservation. Watch for more information to be out soon! We will need at least three parents to accompany us, so be thinking about it!
NO YOUTH ACTIVITIES WILL BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 25TH DUE TO THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY!
SAVE THE DATES!

Snack Supper Sign Up:
October 11- No one signed up for this week. If you can help out, that would be great. Finger foods would be best for this evening due to the nature of the Blessing of the Animals and the schedule that we have planned. Youth will need to grab their snack supper in between music sets.
November 15- Harner Family
November 22- No one has signed up for this week yet.
November 29- No one has signed up for this week yet.
December 6- Crawford Family
December 13- Wells Family signed up. We will NOT be eating at the church. We will probably grab something on our way back from Feed the Need.
December 20- Kathy Fiolkoski
December 27- No Youth Fellowship.
ALUMINUM RECYCLING
Bring your aluminum cans on the 2nd Sunday of each month to support our Youth Ministry! The cash from the recycled cans will support all of our programming.
