You must first realize and accept that
"... all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
and you must understand
"... the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Because
"... God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Now
"... if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
A Sinners Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner.
I believe you died on the cross for my sins.
Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and
life. I receive you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for
now saving me. In Jesus Name, Amen."
