Current Events at Oxon Hill United Methodist Church

The theme of our VBS this year is "Galilee by the Sea". We will be by the sea July 21-25, 5:30-8:30 p.m.. Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. After dinner, 4 years - 6th grade and adult classes will be conducted with the help of youth assistants. While in Galilee, you will join a tribe of Israel! You will learn what Jesus taught when He walked the earth: Bible stories, Music and Dramas,Crafts & Games. It will be FUN!!

Cost:Please bring one non-perishable item for the Oxon Hill Food Pantry.

On Saturday, August 30, 2008, OHUMC will be taking a one-day trip to Sight and Sound Theatres in Strasburg, PA to see live on stage in the Millennium Theatre, "In The Beginning", and enjoy a dinner meal at the Hershey Farm Restaurant after the play.
The cost is $120 Adults; $90 Youth (ages 13-18), and $70 Children (ages 3-12). The cost includes round trip bus transportation, admission to the play and a meal. All payments are due by August 3, 2008.

A request for a refund will be accepted ONLY if someone is willing to purchase your space on the bus and the play ticket.

Volunteers are always needed. Any one interested in this Ministry please contact Susan McDonald in the Church office or Ethel Bing. Distribution is Mon, Tues, Wed and Fri from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closed holidays.
