UMC has many people involved in the weekly planning of
Worship. We would like to acknowledge some of them:
Carol
Garrett schedules the Acolytes. We want
to thank her for making sure that the acolytes are in
place every week, and for making sure that they have
matches!
Janette
Johnson schedules the Worship Leaders and Ushers.
We also want to thank her for her dedication to seeing
that enough people are available for these jobs.
But
we also want to thank those from the congregation who see
the need to serve in cases of emergency. YOU look
out for this church and it's meaningful Worship of God by
recognizing that sometimes, plans get confused and people
forget.

Youth Choir starts on Monday, May 24th.
AnnaMarie Fernihough will be directing three new Youth
Choirs starting Monday, May 24th.
Ages 3 through 6 will practice from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Ages 7 through 12 will practice from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30
pm.
Ages 13 through 17 will practice from 6:30 pm to 7:00
p.m.

!!Graduations!!
On May 23, we honored 16 graduates with gifts, recognition and a
dinner. They completed Eighth Grade; High School and College,
respectively. Our graduates were presented to the congregation as
follows:
Graduating from Eighth Grade are: Zackary Scott; Taylor
Edwards; Linley Smith; Jared Stunkle and Jake Prieshoff.
Graduating from High School are: Janelle Johnson; Katie
Knowles; Taran Blaize; Amber Stunkle; and Syanda and Amanda Miley.
Our graduates from College are: Deanna Rhodes; Andrea
Halley; Holly Minick; Jessica Wood and AnnaMarie Fernihough.
We congratulate all of them for their hard work and
wish them Godspeed in their future endeavor.

Annual Talent Show!
Talent Show Update
With more than 25 acts and 75 people in the audience,
we had a very successful First Annual Talent Show. There were acts
ranging from the dancers to comedy skits; from lips sync artists to
vocalists. Performers ranged in age from 10 months old and up. While
Owensville UMC had a number of performers on the docket, we had
performers from the all over the area. We look forward to next year's
Talent Show, and encourage any who would like to participate to watch
for future announcements.

The
Young Adults Class is sponsoring a Fall Bazaar!!!
The
Young Adults Class will be having a Fall Bazaar in
October. There will be all kinds of crafts and good
things to eat. If you have any crafts that
you would like to donate, please leave them in the Young
Adults Class.

proceeds will go towards church projects.

church is recycling ink and laser jet printer
cartridges, as well as old cell phones. You can drop them off during office hours (Wednesday
- Friday, 9AM - 1 PM) at the North doors. Proceeds will go
towards church projects. Tell your friends!

SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE
Nominations are now being accepted for the United Methodist Higher
Education Annual Conference Scholarship. One $1000 scholarship will be
awarded by the United Methodist Foundation to United Methodist students
nominated by the Annual Conference Board of Higher Education and Campus
Ministry for the 2004/2005 academic year.
Candidates for this award must have been an active member of a UM
congregation for at least a year. In addition, he/she will either be
entering the freshman year at a UM-related school, college, or
university or be a first-year seminary student at a UM-related
theological school. They must also be a citizen or permanent resident of
