Women's Circle
The Women's Circle will meet Monday, October 5th, in the Social Room. A light lunch at 11:30 a.m. will be followed by devotions and a short business meeting. The Circle meets the first Monday of the month unless otherwise noted.
September's meeting was the Annual Day Apart, held this year at Jumonville. The excellent speaker was a representative from the Westmoreland County Food Bank. She spoke of the various programs of the Food Bank, including a backpack program which provides weekend easily prepared, nutritious food for underprivileged school children.
All women of the church are invited to our meetings.

Kneeling Knitters
Will meet on October 28th in the Pershing Room at 10:30 a.m. - whenever. All knitters, crocheters, and wannabes, are encouraged to join us.
Scrappers
The Scrappers have no meeting scheduled. Plans are underway for a scrapping event which may include a consultant-instructor. This will provide an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in turning their shoe boxes full of pictures into attractive albums. Watch for further details in future newsletters.
Outreach:
Campbell Labels
Thank you for saving coupons and labels. We mailed 400 labels and 100 coupons to Red Bird Mission in Kentucky. Please remember to save the back label with the UPS code instead of the front label. The Mission is able to get much needed school supplies with the labels.
Greensburg Care Center
We will continue our ministry at the Greensburg Care Center. Please check back for more information soon.
14th Quartermaster
Outreach will be working with representatives at the 14th Quartermaster in Greensburg to supply needs to one of their units that will be leaving soon for duty in the Middle East. More information will be coming as we learn how best we can support these brave men and women.
Health & Wellness Ministry
The newly formed Health & Wellness Ministry Committee is looking for people to join our committee, or volunteer their time, in order to help serve the congregation of Otterbein Church.
Ideas for what the Committee can offer include:
1. Continuation of the monthly Blood Pressure screenings.
2. Provide meals for families of the hospitalized
or recuperating from an illness.
3. Provide transportation for doctor appointments, diagnostic testing & treatment.
4. Run errands for the homebound (i.e. grocery shopping, pick up prescriptions, etc.)
5. Provide respite for caregivers allowing them free time (Safe Sanctuary clearances)
6. Visitations to members in hospitals or nursing homes.
7. Plan and conduct a Health Fair to help inform About Health & Wellness.
If you are interested in joining our Committee or volunteering in any capacity, please contact Sandy Zimmerman, Otterbein Parish Nurse, at 724-834-4060. We are open to any other ideas on how we may serve the Church under the health & Wellness Ministry.
