Our Congregation

Trinity United Methodist Church is part of the North Central New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. We belong to the Central Lakes District. Our congregation comprises about 80 active members. Church membership is open to all people, and children participate in services and attend Church School on Sunday mornings, when classes are led by Brandi Norton and Susan Wild. Families enjoy our weekly coffee hour after Sunday services, and participate in adult study led by the Pastor on Tuesday evenings and occasional classes related to the liturgical year. Our congregation embraces values of social justice and endeavors to serve our community. Please join us for worship services Sundays at 11:00 a.m.

Our Pastor

Pastor Richelle Duchano joined our congregation in 2005 after completing her degree in Masters of Divinity from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Please see her home page and feel free to contact her at rduchano@twcny.rr.com or 315-343-1715.

Our Community

Trinity United Methodist Church is located in the city of Oswego, New York, home to the State University of New York in Oswego. Located on the shores of Lake Ontario, Oswego is known as "Port City." Oswego was settled in 1722 and Oswego is well-known from Ruth Gruber's book about Jewish refugees acccepted into Oswego, Haven: the Dramatic Story of 1,000 World War II Refugees and How they Came to America, Three Rivers Press, 2000 . Perhaps this winter's remarkable lake effect snow has put Oswego on the nation's radar, but our community has weathered seasons fair and wonderful.

Our Home

Built in 1903, the church on Utica Street became the home to Trinity's church family, which had been formed in 1848. Trinity United Methodist Church has a rich history as an institution and within the history of the city of Oswego. The stained glass windows by Haskins & Collyer of Rochester, New York, represent important scenes from scripture and commemorate our congregation.
