Sunday School News:
“Believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1
Brenda Lotzgesell and Melissa Cole are working together along with several parent helpers using Cokesbury's newest children’s Sunday school curriculum, Live B.I.G. Live B.I.G. is designed to help children ages 3-13 learn about the love of God through Jesus so they can live their “Belief in God.” Using a DVD component, the teachers are supplied with resources that go beyond the classroom and engage children with Christian role models and a deeper understanding of Jesus and the impact he can have on their lives. Through these resources teachers and children will come to know and love God and Jesus so that they can answer the question, “How can I live B.I.G.?”
Join us for "Rally Day", the
beginning of this year’s Sunday School, on Sunday, September 14, 2008. Sunday
School will be starting at 10:00AM. Church follows at 11:00A.M. There will be
Coffee Hour after church with lots of yummy goodies! All are welcome!
The crew of Cosmic City VBS would like to
thank all those who donated, gave their time, and kept us in their prayers.
We had an awesome time sharing God's word
and love with over fifty children, leaders and helpers. The children especially
enjoyed the robot puppets, Sadie and Circuit; and the human janitor, Sam. One
of the mysteries of VBS week was the identity of the astronaut who acted,
danced, and sang his/her way into our hearts!
The VBS mission was for Heifer
Project International. The children donated over $200.00 that will go for a
goat and four or more flocks of chicks.
Cosmic City VBS was a real blessing!
