The mission of the Church
is to make disciples of Jesus Christ." (Matthew 28: 19-20)
The annual conference is to make disciples for Jesus Christ
by equipping its local churches for ministry and by providing
a connection for ministry beyond the local church; all to the
glory of God. The Conference Board of Ordained Ministry is charged
with coordinating much of the formation and continuing formation
of the spiritual leaders who are licensed, consecrated, commissioned,
or ordained for the ministry within the Illinois Great Rivers
Conference.
