Flop, Flip & Fly!

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God--what is good and pleasing and perfect."  Romans 12:2

The GNIRPS theme revolved around the story, Hope for the Flowers. Youth group are encouraged to check out the book from their local library to build on their experience at GNIRPS.

Our theme song was Pressing On by Reliant K.   Youth groups are encouraged to listen to this song and spend some time discussing what it means!

Youth Service Fund

The Youth Service Fund (YSF) is a ministry by youth, for youth!

  • YOUth Benefit- monies raised contribute to projects that improve the lives of youth throughout the world!

  • YOUth Decide- monies raised are donated to projects that a team of youth select as high-quality, important projects!

  • YOUth CAN!- YSF is solely youth funded! United Methodist youth contribute their own hard-earned money to this cause because they understand how important it is to pitch in a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Christ!

We hope to raise $2003 at GNIRPS 2003 for YSF!   YOU can help! Here are five ways…

  • Have each person in your group bring $3 to GNIRPS to donate to YSF. If EVERYONE does this… we will nearly reach our goal! We will take a collection of this money at one of the General Sessions… so be sure to bring YOUR $3!

  • $1 of every registration paid will be donated to YSF to get us started!  In addition to each person bringing $3 to GNIRPS- we will meet our goal of $2003!  Wow!

  • Participate in the YSF Auction!  Friday night, during the Larva Lounge, items will be auctioned off (proceeds to YSF), including the ’01, ’02, and ’03 GNIRPS banners, and 4 showers. Youth groups are welcome to pool their money and purchase items together. (You’ll want to plan ahead for this.)

  • We will have our traditional coin challenge, so bring that jar of change to join the fun.

  • Bring your “Dime-a-Time” collection you’ve been gathering each time you meet.

Ways to be involved at GNIRPS 2004

GNIRPS is made possible through thousands and thousands of hours of donated time and service from our dedicated volunteers. Are you, or someone you know, interested in helping out at GNIRPS? Contact Marcey for more information.

  • Apply to be part of the GNIRPS 2004 Planning Team! This is the group that will be responsible for selecting the theme, planning the General Sessions, Worship, Small Groups, etc.

  • Be a Do-Op! These are the people who have selected the “do!” option… that means they help set up chairs, tables, supplies, paint signs, welcome people and more!

  • Be a Small Group Leader!  These are the people who lead activities and discussions in small groups of approximately 10 people.  Adults lead Junior High groups and mentor Senior High groups; Sr. High Youth lead Senior High groups.
