The United Methodist Church of Liberia has more than 115 elementary schools and 20 Junior and Senior high schools. Operation Classroom of Indiana is in partnership with 5 of the schools. OC is also in partnership with the Holston Conference, churches in Michigan, Maryland, and North Carolina. They also partner with OC Ministries in Minnesota. Operation Classroom also partners with other churches in other conferences to upgrade the educational system of Liberia.
In Liberia each OC school, and others have trained counselors on the staff. Most of the schools have a female and a male counselor. The counselor meet bi-monthly at the Peal Center for additional training and discussion of how they can better meet the needs of the students, parents, and staff.
Beginning January 1, 2009, all Operation Classroom school related projects have one advance special number: 302094. If you wish your gift to go to a particular school, write the number/ then the name of the school. Or, you may wish to write a check to Operation Classroom or use your credit card. College of West Africa
College of West Africa is the oldest school in Liberia and is located in downtown Monrovia. It presently shares its buildings with the United Methodist University. It has been one of the premier high schools in Liberia, and has a current enrollment of 450 (Grades 10-12). Home Economics, Drafting, and Business are the major vocational programs at CWA.

Priorities include:
- Equipment for these vocational classes, including manual typewriters, computers, sewing machines, baking pans and utensils, and drafting supplies
- Scholarships for 100 students
- Support for school counselors
- 100 scholarships are needed for needy students
GRADES K THROUGH 12
W. T. V. Tubman-Gray School
W. T. V. Tubman-Gray School is a K-12 school and is located in Gbarnga. Tubman-Gray has an enrollment of approximately 750. The school was started by a missionary, the late Vivian Gray. A vocational school is housed on the campus. They offer training in: carpentry, agriculture, computer, business, home economics, and cosmetology. A playground was constructed in 2010 by churches in the Western North Carolina Conference.

Priorities include:
- A new elementary building is the top urgent need.

Ganta United Methodist School
Ganta United Methodist School is a K-12 school and is located on the Ganta Mission Station in Nimba County. It first started in 1931. It has an enrollment of more than 900 students.

Priorities include:
- Computers and printers
- Generator
- Sewing machines
- Agricultural tools
- Carpentry tools
- Science equipment
- School furniture
- 100 scholarships are needed for needy students

W.P.L. Brumskine School
W.P.L. Brumskine School is a K-12 school and is located on the coast, south of Monrovia, in Buchanan. It has an enrollment of 450. A kindergarten building was built in the fall of 2006 and a library in 2008.

Priorities include:
- Reroofing to elementary buildings
- 100 scholarships are needed for needy students
St Matthews United Methodist School
St. Matthews UM School is a K-12 school, and is located in a high-density impoverished suburb of Monrovia. It has a current enrollment of over 900. The St. Matthews church in Maryland recently provided a generator for the school. In 2009 a cafeteria was constructed. Presently an elementary classroom building is being constructed. AVocational classes include computer training, home economics, and business.

Priorities include:
- Completing the 6-room elementary building
- Additional fencing around school perimeters
- A clinic
- Classroom furniture
- Science equipment
- 100 scholarships are needed for needy students
- Support for school counselors
New Georgia United Methodist School
The New Georgia Elementary School continues in the process of being constructed. It is located on the grounds of the New Georgia UM Church on the edge of Monrovia. They have two classes of 80 students.

Priorities include:
- Completion of the Construction of the building
- Assistance for payment of teachers for the first 3 years
- Furniture
- Scholarships for needy students

Henri Dennis UM School

The Henri Dennis School is located on the edge of Monrovia and is in partnership with the St. Paul’s UM Church in Rochester, Michigan. The school has more than 900 students (K-12). They are committed to self- help. Their priorities include:
- Completion of the chapel/assembly hall
- Funds to purchase 250 acres of land to establish a rubber plantation to support the school

The J.S. Pratt School is located in Harper, and is in partnership with OC Ministries of Minnesota. Their priorities include:

JJ Roberts UM School

JJ Roberts UM School is located in Monrovia and has an enrollment of 1200. The Holston UM Conference has been in partnership, and has constructed the high school building. Priorities include:

Scholarships Needed For Students
Students attending schools in Liberia and Sierra Leone have to pay school fees. Operation Classroom provides 100 work study-grants/scholarships for each of its schools. You can provide one or more scholarships for needy students. OC in consultation with the Departments of Education is evaluating the work study/grants for a needy students Without your assistance will not be able to attend school. Operation Classroom provides each sponsor a photo and bio of the student.
Scholarships For Teachers
Many teachers do not have a college degree and cannot afford to go to college on their own. Operation Classroom has been sending selected teachers to college to get their degree. The teacher signs a memorandum of understanding that he will return to the school upon completion of his education. It costs around $1200 per year to send a teacher to college in either Liberia or Sierra Leone. The committee in Liberia or Sierra Leone recommends the person to go college and the OC committee approves or disapproves of the recommendation. To date OC has approved all the teachers who were recommended.
