NEW BUILDING AT AT ST. MATTHEWS

St Matthews UM School in Monrovia (Logantown) broke ground for the new elementary builidng on September 26.  The school has an enrollment of over 700.

A NEW HOSPITAL FOR KISSY

UNMCOR recently announced that ASHA has awarded a $400,000 grant to build a 40 bed Mother/child unit.  Operation Doctor is working with the Kissy Hospital and  UMOR to finish developing the plans and constructing the new unit.

 

URBAN CENTER PRIMARY SCHOOL TO BE DEDICATED

On October 10 the Urban Center Primary School will hold a dedicaton for the completion of the 4 additinal classroom.  A delegation from the Carmel UM Church are in Sierra Leone to participate in the dedication.

 

 

TUBMAN-GRAY OPENS INTERNET CAFE

With a VIM team from Western North Carolina and the purchase of a generator by Operation Classroom, the W .V.S. Tubman-Gray School has opened an internet cafe.
