Volunteers from several Onawa churches walked from First Congregational UCC at 9th and Diamond
out to Faith Lutheran ELCA (and many back) raising $520 for Church World Service's annual campaign
Communities Respond to Overcoming Poverty or CROP Walk.
Sporting "We Walk because They walk posters", many commented on how their participation each year also
helps meet local needs because 25% of all funds raised come back to support the Monona County Food Bank.
Fourteen walkers, including Snickers Noer and Mopsy Turvy (Wells) took the trip.
The walkers are pictured in front of the Onawa United Methodist Church.
