Our Church has been located at it's present site since 1841. The current Sanctuary building dates back to 1907. We are located in the heart of the Civil War Battlefield area, to the west of Fredericksburg Virginia, in a rural part of Spotsylvania County. We are located close to the Chancellorsville, Wilderness and Spotsylvania Courthouse Battlefields, and the Church shows on the maps of those battles. The Church is a classic "country church" with about 125 active members and many families who can trace their local roots back 4 or more generations. Our area is starting to grow rapidly, becoming a "bedroom community" for both the Washington D.C. and Richmond VA. The growth in our community is bringing both new challenges and great potential for our Church as we enter the second millenium. |
