Cancer Support Group Open to all current patients, caregivers and survivors. The group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited! CONCERN Oak Park joins many other area churches in this community assistance organization. Each month CONCERN provides hundreds of area families with food and monetary assistance for utilities. They also provide child care services for families with need. Donations of food and other items are always needed, plus volunteers once a month. We also participate in CONCERN's annual Old Fashioned Church Social, held each year in Johnstone Park to help raise funds. Please send us an email to find out more! Family Night Supper The Evangelism Team at Oak Park UMC is fantastic! Each month they sponsor a free supper for anyone and everyone! There is no charge to join us in this time of fun, food, and fellowship. It all begin at 5:30 p.m. Check the calendar for the exact date each month. Habitat for Humanity One Saturday each month we join forces with Bartlesville Area Habitat for Humanity to eliminate substandard housing in our area. This is an ecumenical Christian organization that has help house almost 1,000,000 people around the world! The Oak Park UMC workday is the third Saturday of each month. For more information and to find out the current worksite, click here! Visit the HfH International website Helping Hands This is a vital active ministry of Oak Park UMC. It was started when we recognized a need for helping the elderly, single parents and anyone else who needs a task done around the house. We currently have several ongoing projects. If you would like to help, please send us an email! Holiday Baskets For Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, our Missions team is busy collecting basket items for children and families in need. This year we, along with Grace Epworth UMC, helped supply Easter baskets for every foster child in Washington County. We also "adopt" three families for Thanksgiving and three families for Christmas. For each of them we collect food and gifts so that they may have a happy holiday season. Watch for announcements when we begin our canned food and gift drives! Volunteers in Mission Each year we send volunteer teams all over the state, the nation and the world with one main purpose: to share the love of Jesus Christ in ways that make a Christian difference! Do you like to combine travel with construction or medical service? If so, VIM is for you! Send an email to find out more about this exciting ministry! Visit the OKVIM website
