“DR. JOHN D. BLAIR SCHOLARSHIP FUND”

 

Once again, it is time to ask your support for the Dr. John D. Blair Scholarship Fund - your scholarship fund.  This scholarship fund is unique to this local church and continues to support the educational and career ambitions of our members and friends at various ages and stages of their lives.

 

For 33 years, the congregation has faithfully supported this fund, and that support has enabled us to award multiple scholarships every year without exception, for a total of 75 scholarships.  Last year, we took a leap of faith by increasing the dollar amount of 4-year college scholarships to $1,500 and 2-year community collage scholarships to $750.

 

All this has been made possible by the generous support of our congregation.  Your support of the annual offering in December is what continues to sustain our scholarship fund after 33 years.  In addition, we welcome memorial and other donations at any time during the year.  It is a fitting and productive way to remember a friend or a loved one.  A brochure about the scholarship fund is sent with every donation received.

 

Unquestionably, it is the congregation’s support that has enabled us to provide 75 Dr. John D. Blair scholarships.  On behalf of all the scholarship recipients down through the years, we thank you for your generous support and ask for your support once again so that we may continue to fulfill our mission by helping our members as they seek ways to serve the Lord.
