Outreach

Food Pantry FOOD PANTRY

Oak Cliff UMC provides boxes of food for families every Thursday morning from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. People living in zip codes 03, 08, 11, 16, 24 or 33 can come once a month and receive food at no charge. They must provide proof of residency and meet minimum monthly income requirements. We would be delighted if you would like to volunteer your time to help distribute food to hungry people.

Playground LA CALLE DIEZ COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND AT OAK CLIFF UMC

In the spring of 2004 we learned that La Calle Diez Community Playground was about to be replaced by new homes. Not wanting to loose this essential community asset, the members of Oak Cliff UMC rallied to raise $35,000 to purchase a vacant lot and relocate the playground equipment, which was given to the church by La Calle Diez Community Development Corporation. Thanks to generous donations by sister United Methodist churches, friends and members of our church, and Bob & Jean Wilson this big dream became a beautiful reality.

Amigos Days AMIGOS DAYS

Amigos Days is a hands-on ministry where urban and suburban churches join together with residents of urban neighborhoods and members of Oak Cliff UMC to make a difference in the city by repairing homes and renovating urban churches. In 2005 volunteers from 13 Partner Churches and from Presbyterian Hospital repaired 11 homes in Oak Cliff and West Dallas.
