For Your Information

Deja vu! Video and Audio Recordings of our worship services are yours for the borrowing and are in the Small Meeting Room (across from the Church Office). Feel free to sign out a tape for yourself, a shut-in or a neighbor.

The JULY/AUGUST “Circuit Rider”, (our newsletter,) is on the table in the lower hallway.  Please take yours, your relatives and neighbors.  We’ll mail those that are not taken.  Thanks!

Well Pennies: .The Youth Group continues to collect pennies for those overseas who need to build wells for safe drinking water.   Please bring in your coins and continue to help us help them!

Aluminum Can Tabs:  The youth are collecting aluminum pull can tabs to support CUMAC-ECHO, a United Methodist food pantry.  If you purchase cans with pull-tabs, please save the tabs and drop them off in the jar outside the church office or give them to Youth Director, Jean Arlea.  Thank you in advance for all of your help!

Our Wounded Service Men and Women Still Need Your Help:  Two suitcases are in place in the New Room.  We ask for comfort items such as toothpaste, deodorant, baby powder, playing cards, socks, underwear (male & Female), and the like.  Letters to the soldiers are also welcome.  You have been so generous in the past.  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Wanted Sunday Morning Refreshment Hosts.  Have you noticed that the “After Worship Refreshment Sign-up Sheet” is a bit…empty?  How about signing-up for a Sunday or 2?  (It’s located by the New Room entrance.)  Being a Refreshment Host/Hostess is not difficult AND we even have a small supply of napkins, table cloths, juice, coffee and treats that can be used if you don’t feel comfortable baking, or buying store-bought coffee-cakes—or for whatever reason, to make it as easy as possible.  (Directions for coffee making are even posted inside one of the cabinet doors.)  You might try teaming-up with a church friend to split the responsibilities.  By doing so, you’ll not only provide us with a tasty snack BUT you may be the one who encourages a new family to stick around and say, “this is the friendliest church we have ever attended.”   We appreciate your “Ministry of Hospitality”!  Thanks.

Food Pantry: Our pantry is now in need of more canned food contributions for needy people.  Baby food is always needed and much appreciated.  Help fight against hunger by leaving your food donations on the Food Pantry shelves located in Cabinet #3 in the lower hallway.

“I CAN” Respond To Hunger:  Have you ever been hungry - really hungry?  I’m sure all of us are blessed with food enough for every day, but some people know what real hunger is.  The purpose of the “I CAN” project is to help remedy this.  Maybe we can’t feed 5000, but we can help on a smaller scale by taking one of the soda cans home and dropping in some coins every so often.  You will find the cans on The Food Pantry shelves located in Cabinet #3 in the lower hallway.   The I CAN project is ongoing because hunger is certainly an ongoing problem.  If you haven’t already taken a can home, PLEASE HELP.  Also, when the I CAN is full please return it to the CHURCH OFFICE--not on the Food Pantry shelf.  Thanks.
