NICOMA PARK UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

This is the website of Nicoma Park United Methodist Church, Nicoma Park, Oklahoma.  We are located at the corner of Northeast 19th Street and Westminster Road. We are a small church, but big in heart. Our Sunday service starts at 9 a.m.  Whether you are a traveler through our part of the country, or a long-time resident, we'd love to have you join us next Sunday morning!

Pastor David's Welcome: Thanks for checking out our webpage.  We hope you find some useful information to help you.  Even though we are small, as a United Methodist Church, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.  In our local context, we seek to serve our community through our thrift store, our second Sunday sing (which draws from outside churches), our Bible studies (open to all), our Scouting program (Cub Scout Pack 280), and through other missions.

Sunday Services:  Sunday services are held each week at 9 a.m.  Additional, special services (Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve, etc) are held throughout the year.  Check the calendar above for the latest information.

Holy Communion:  Holy Communion, which is open to all Christian believers, is normally observed on the first Sunday of each month.

Bible Study:  We are scheduling a Bible study for the first Sunday evening of each month at 6 p.m.  It will run about 90 minutes each evening.  We will adjust the specific Sunday when needed.  Check the calendar immediately above for the latest information.

Second Sunday Sing: On the second Sunday of each month, we hold a special evening sing to celebrate our belief in God and Jesus Christ. Everyone enjoys singing a lot of the old time favorites.  We have many guests and performers from other churches who join us for this special event. Won't you?

Thrift Shop: One mission of our church is the Thrift Shop. We recycle donations from the local community, reselling them for a modest price. Proceeds received are used to pay NPUMC's annual apportionments.  Once the apportionments are paid, the proceeds are used to support other missions of the church.  Where there is a special need, we will provide, without charge, needed items for members of our community. Some of our donations are given to other charitable services. Whether you have a donation you'd like to make, or you're looking for that special shirt, come by for a visit: Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Red Hat Society:  NPUMC is proud to host Chapter 75005 of the Red Hat Society.  Red Hat is a global society that connects, supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment and fitness.  Meetings of the Red Hat Society are announced at Sunday services.

Cub Scouts:  Another mission of our church is served through the Scouting program.  We are the chartering organization for Cub Scout Pack 280.  Many adults in our congregation are highly experienced Scouters, and remain active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturing programs of the Boy Scouts of America.  If you are interested in Scouting for your son (or even your daughter), please contact the church and we will put you in touch with the right folks for the age of your child.

Pastor's Potpourri: Each week, Pastor David Cressman publishes via e-mail some notes of spiritual guidance and inspiration. View the latest issue here:
