Sunday School Happenings...

We have some wonderful events planned this winter and spring!  Here’s information about most of our Sunday School Events planned between now and the end of this class year.

SOUP-er Bowl Project:   What is it? We are having a SOUP can drive between now and the Super Bowl, Feb. 3rd. Each class will be a team. The team that collects the most cans of soup will be announced at the end of Sunday School on Feb. 3. That team will receive a trophy to keep for the year and will get a “special treat”.  The soup will be given to our Adopt a Families from Christmas. 

On Feb. 3rd, we are encouraging everyone to wear their favorite team colors/apparel. Which team will be our SOUP-er Bowl champ???

Lent Penny Cans: We need empty single serving Pringles cans for an upcoming project. We need approx. 100 by the beginning of February. Please help if you can!

Fellowship Sundays:  Please see attached schedule. If you are available to help serve, please contact the Sunday School teacher from your class. It’s a great way to get to know some of the other parents and people in church. We need you!!

Bring a Friend Sunday: Mark your calendars! We are encouraging everyone to “bring a friend” to Sunday School with them on Sunday, March 9th. Special treats planned!

Did you Know?...

  • We will have Sunday School EVERY Sunday till June 1, 2008. There will be a special celebration to end the year.
  • We will continue to collect offering every Sunday. The offering helps to cover the costs of curriculum and other items used weekly.
  • There is a Sunday School "WISH" board in the front hallway. Please check it our to see if you could help fill a wish for our program! Also, opportunities are on the table under the board, so check it out!
  • We will be having a special Camp Sunday with information about our wonderful church camps in April.
  • We are starting to plan Vacation Bible School for this summer. If you would be interested in helping during VBS or help plan, please let me know! Everyone is welcome! Classes for all ages!

Sunday School Schedule
          
         Sunday School  is every Sunday,  9:15am - 10:15am during the school year. The Adult Sunday School class begins at 9:30am.
     
In order to be in compliance with the Safe Sanctuaries Youth Protection Policy of the United Methodist Church, at least two (2) adults will be in each class room, every week.
     
We encourage you to get to know your child's teachers and helpers.  If you would like to be a helper in your child's class, please let me know. We would love to have you join in the spiritual growth of your child.
