Welcome to the Website for Northwoods United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, North Carolina! We're very glad you've found us and we invite you to explore our pages.

You are more than welcome to visit with us and know that you will be regarded as family. We believe in Loving each other as Christ Loves each and every one of us. We are located on the corner of Gum Branch Road and Henderson Drive just three miles from downtown Jacksonville.

Mission Statement

The Mission and Purpose of Northwoods United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. The Northwoods Church is a fellowship of believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We express our Christian faith through our worship attendance, participating in its programs, receiving the sacraments, and welcoming baptized and professing members into our church family. Our church is organized so that it can pursue the primary task and mission in the context of our own community in Jacksonville.

Our Goal is:

    1)   To reach out and receive with joy all who will respond.

    2)   Encouraging people in their relationship with God and inviting them to commitment to God's love in Jesus Christ.

    3)   Providing opportunities for them to seek strengthening and growth in spiritual formation.

    4)   In addition, supporting them to live lovingly and justly in the power of the Holy Spirit as faithful disciples.
