Introducing the North Central Jurisdiction
Holy Bear Volunteer Trio! These bears can be used to both
promote VIM and make a little money for your UMVIM team.
UMVIM-NCJ will make them available for $7.00 for any Conference,
team or group that would like to order them. Some teams are
taking them as gifts for their host families when they go
on their UMVIM trip. Others are asking for donations and
giving the bear as a thank you. Still others are selling
them for a set price and using the funds for team expenses.
They should easily re-sell for $10.00-$12.00.

Each bear is 9” tall and carries a Bible with inscription
and address information. The UMC cross and flame is embroidered
on bottom of their left feet. This black, red and white cuddly
trio gives us a complete set for the three colors of the UMVIM
logo.
If you just want to have one or more of these cute creatures
for yourself, you can order them from the UMVIM-NCJ office for
$10.00. |

Bob and Ginny Babcock – longtime supporters of UMVIM
and NOMADS from the South Indiana Conference – will have
been married 50 years on September 2, 2005! (However, the “big
celebration” will be held July 9, 2005 when both of their
daughters can attend!)
UMVIM – NCJ would like to help you honor the Babcocks on this momentous
occasion! For every $50 that is sent to UMVIM-NCJ in honor of Bob and Ginny’s
anniversary - they are going to receive a Holy bear! … |

If 1 person sends $50 in their honor, that = 1 bear,
If 2 people each send in $25, that = 1 bear,
If 5 people send $10 each, that = 1 bear, etc… |

We hope that their house is deluged with bears!
Now, The Babcocks will probably give them away to a local children’s charity – though
Ginny secretly enjoys the thought of replacing Bob after 50 years with something
soft, cuddly and manageable ! … And of course Bob can't imagine Ginny wanting
anything more soft, cuddly, and manageable than himself!
