On May 25, 2008, in order to celebrate Rev. Lois's 50th Birthday, a concert was held at the church to benefit the Women's Fund in Georgia (the former Soviet Republic where Rev. Lois and family lived for a year prior to coming to North Northfield). Two groups performed. The first, "Alioni" performed sacred and folk songs of Georgia. The second, the "L Chorus," was formed as a one-time group for this benefit, but the music and many of the singers were or are in "WOVEN," the Oxford, Ohio women's chorus founded by Rev. Lois.
