Rev. and Mrs. Austin III celebrated their 1st Anniversary on July 1, 2007, at NMUMC!

Rev. Austin is a native of Washington, DC. He and is wife Ethel Louise Colvin, have two daughters Leslie and Teresa. He is a PK i.e. preacher’s kid, however, in this case he is the grandson of a minister, the Rev. Thomas Austin, Sr.
Growing up in Washington, DC, Rev. Austin is a life member of Asbury UMC, where as a youth he was very active in church life, participating in the youth choir and the MYF. As an adult he has worked with the UM Men, the Usher Board, Evangelism, council on Ministries, and he has served as a Lay Leader, and was a certified Lay Speaker in the United Methodist Church.
His most recent appointment was with the Greater New Jersey Conference in where he became an ordained Deacon in 2001, and became an ordained Elder in 2004. During his stay in NJ, he became very active in the community, working with a variety of community groups.
In his spare time, he enjoys bowling, sports, reading, westerns, traveling, movies, board games and time with family and friends.
His

40:31.
