Missions
Our heart for mission is displayed through outreach into
our community. You will find us working on projects such as The Easter Egg
Hunt for children with special needs, Crop Walk, Blanket Sunday and
Adopt-A-Family ministry. You might find us serving at Forbes House, Project
Hope for the Homeless or visiting shut-ins. Our missions are partially
supported by "FUNd-raising" events such as the Hot Rod Diners held every
second Friday in May through September.
Stephen Ministry
A national program of specially trained volunteers who
provide one-on-one Christian ministry. Our lay ministries care for individuals
experiencing a crisis or challenge such as divorce, grief, loss of a job,
hospitalization, relocation or loneliness.
Adopt-A-Family Ministry
"Keep on loving each other as brothers and
sisters. Remember to welcome strangers, because some who have done this have
welcomes angels without knowing it... remember those who are suffering as if
you were suffering with them." Hebrews 13:1-3
As a community of faith, we have chosen to live out our
discipleship by assisting people in desperate situations, just as early
Christians communities did through the "Adopt-A-Family" Ministry. These
"angels in crisis" are people who may have multiple health problems, crushing
personal concerns or a variety of unmet financial and physical needs. Any
excess foods from "Adopt-A-Family" dinners are donated to Forbes House,
Project Hope for the Homeless and the Salvation Army. Your generosity and
continued support of "Adopt-A-Family" are greatly appreciated. May all this be
done to the glory of God.
"...for the least among all of you is the
greatest" Luke 9:48
