    Vision Statement

To facilitate an ethos of spiritual formation throughout the annual conference by providing formation opportunities for laity and clergy as individuals and groups.

Local churches are encouraged to invite a retreat leader to present a program in spiritual formation. The length of the retreat can be a half day, a full day, a weekend or whatever best suits their needs.

Possible topics are prayer, healing, journaling, spiritual direction, forgiveness, praying with the scriptures, Christian dream interpretation, and the power of the Psalms.

To arrange for a retreat leader, contact the Rev. Jim Young, chair of the Spiritual Formation Retreat Leaders and a member of the Northern Illinois Conference Board of Discipleship. Call Jim at (815) 338-3310.
