A Report from Nominations Committee
|
|
The Conference Committee on Nominations announces immediate opportunities for service in the Northern Illinois Conference.
|
|
The Committee on Personnel needs two persons. The personnel committee develops personnel policies, evaluation procedures, etc. These are ‘at large’ positions but it would be good to have someone from Chicago Northwest District as the group currently meets at Park Ridge UMC from 4-6 pm.
The Board of Trustees needs a laywoman for the class of 2008. For balance, she should be from the Rockford or DeKalb districts. The group currently meets at 3 pm on the 4th Thursday of each month at Wesley UMC in Naperville.
The Equitable Compensation Committee needs both a lay and clergy member. The board will meet in late February at DeKalb First UMC.
The Committee on Episcopacy needs a young adult member; the committee meets four times a year, usually early Thursday evening, at the Elgin Conference Program office.
The Program Council needs a secretary. For balance, it would be helpful if this were a lay person. The Program Council meets bimonthly on Saturday mornings at the Elgin Conference Program office.
The Committee to Implement the National Hispanic/Latino Plan needs one Hispanic person and two non-Hispanic persons. The group meets monthly on Thursday mornings at Wesley UMC in Naperville.
