SUPPORT
& CARE
|
God
is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble. -
Ps. 46:1 |
 |
We at
NFUMC believe in "whole body" health - spiritual, mental and physical.
There are many areas which provide opportunities for all members
to become ministers - a concept in which we strongly believe. For
more information on ministries for lay involvement, contact Rev.
Brenda Westmoreland at 770-448-4142, X101.

MINISTRY
IN MISSIONS - WHERE IN THE WORLD IS NORCROSS FIRST UMC?
Norcross First is committed to being a missionary church with a vision
to reach out in both word and deed, locally and internationally. In addition
to providing support for our denominational agencies, our church is involved
locally with the Norcross Cooperative Ministry, Meals on Wheels, homeless
shelters, and children’s homes. Support is given to eight missionary families,
Mission India and our sister church in Bulgaria who are helping to fulfill
the Great Commission by carrying the Word of God to the uttermost parts
of the earth. Our church also sends out teams and individuals to work
on short-term projects in the U.S. and other countries. Church members
are encouraged to pray for, write to, send cards, and make contact whenever
possible with these very special people.
Norcross
First seeks to inform, train, and involve our members in missions.
JOB
NETWORKING
Through the Job Network we provide help in the preparation and sending
of resumes by providing word processing capabilities and access to a fax
machine. Job Openings are posted on the job board as well as through periodic
Job Fairs.
