Christian service, fellowship, personal growth, and spiritual nurturing at Norcross First United Methodist Church. The other-than-class activities are numerous and offer something for everyone. We build friendships, share with each other through share groups, and become our own "family".

CHORAL
MUSIC
Our church offers opportunities of expressive participation to all ages.
We have a graded program which includes choirs for young children (beginning
with age three), elementary children, youth and adults, including a special
adult choir group.
Children:
Melody Makers (3-year-old)
Chorister (1st - 2nd grades)
Cherub Choir (4-year-old - K)
Carol Choir (3rd - 5th grades)
Youth:
Good News Singers - senior high choir
Sonlight - mid-high choir.
Both groups meet weekly during the school year to fellowship and develop
their musical talents. Each year the groups go on tours to share their
music with others.
Adult:
Chancel Choir - An opportunity for adults to sing praises to our Lord
during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. Traditional Worship Service and other holiday
programs.
PRAISE BAND
The praise band has the unique opportunity to touch and enrich the lives
of both those who serve and those who receive. Through the sharing of
sacred music, truly we can say that the Spirit of God can be found in
this place!
HANDBELLS
We are also pleased to be able to offer handbell choirs for elementary
children, youth, and adults. Musical experience is not required.
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
The choral music for our morning worship services is accompanied by a
variety of musical instrumentalists. Orchestral music is also provided
for special concerts, especially around Christmas and Easter.
For additional information, please call the church office at 770-448-4142.
PERFORMING
ARTS
From the earliest of times, people have recognized the deep, spiritual
value inherent in the arts. The telling of stories through drama, song
and dance has the power to convey meaning and truth. The Performing Arts
Ministry combines the talents of several ministries to enhance the worship
experience, to cultivate God-given talents, and to nurture the fellowship
of the body of believers.
Drama:
Provides seasonal presentations, including Christmas and Holy Week, as
well as special productions for family fellowship.
Puppet:
Provides programs for children and adults through the medium of puppetry.
Performances are given in worship services, educational programs and community
outreach.
