Join the Prayer Shawl Ministry at Newtonville United Methodist Church
An Exciting Ministry of Prayer and Outreach for Men, Women, and Youth
The members of the Prayer Shawl Ministry knit or crochet shawls that are given to individuals who are ill, suffering a loss, or are otherwise in the midst of a life crisis. As shawls are worked on, whether in a group or at home, they are prayed over. Upon completion, another blessing is bestowed on the shawl before it is presented to the special recipient. You need not be able to knit or crochet to participate. Lessons will beprovided.
NUMC members may request that a prayer shawl be made for someone they feel will benefit from the comfort and blessings these shawls provide.
We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 7-8:30 pm in the Brian Loz Library.
