SHARING WITH OTHER COMMUNITIES
On May 4, 2008, members of the Congregation from the Ghana United Methodist Church of the Bronx visited Newtonville UMC. Earlier, in 2007, members of Newtonville had made a similare trip to share worship at the Ghana Church. The sharing of worship was a wonderful cross cultural experience as well as an affirmation of the worldwide nature of the United Methodist Church.
As part of the joint service, the Ghana UMC choir perfomed both during and after the worship service, brining a very different type of joy and enthusiasm to the Newtonville Congregation.
