Worship
The United Methodist of Newton
celebrates the Lord in
worship through sacrament, word, music, fellowship, and service.
Congregational singing of praise songs precedes the Sunday
morning worship. The liturgical based worship service begins at
10:30 each Sunday morning and typically lasts until noon. The
service has several highlights, including:
| - |
Welcoming and hospitable
congregation during the passing of Christ's peace |
| - |
The incorporation of
traditional and contemporary worship styles with the full support of
audio-visual technology |
| - |
Congregational prayer that
allows church members the freedom of coming to the altar to pray |
| - |
Praise band and singers
leading the congregation during the offering |
| - |
Frequent lay-led worship |
| - |
Choir performs weekly
selections |
| - |
Welcoming time of
fellowship during each week's coffee hour immediately following each
Sunday's worship |
Approximately 55 to 60 people attend each week's worship service.
