Hello, and welcome to our church. We are glad you decided to stop and look

around. We hope you like what you see and have a chance to visit us in person

sometime. Our purpose as a local congregation is to lift up our Lord Jesus Christ

and minister to the needs of His people while at the same time reaching out to the

area around us with the Love of God that has been given to us. The only

commandment Jesus gave in the Bible was to love one another (John 15:17). We do

our best here at New Rumley to keep that as our main focus of attention. In so doing

we want this area to see that love in action. We are to be doers of the word and not

hearers only (James 1:22).

As you have seen in this website there is a lot going on at this country church. We

are not too formal here, kind of laid back in dress and our worship services are

somewhat informal but, we take God's word seriously. In (Matthew 28:19) Jesus

said to "go and make disciples of all nations." Doing that takes involvement in

prayer, work, and love. Disciples are followers of Christ. We at New Rumley hope

you are a disciple too.
