• 1786 – Methodist itinerants first preached in New Paltz in homes of Hendrick Deyo, and Henry DuBois.
• 1788 – New Paltz belonged to the Flanders Circuit, Philadelphia Conference
• 1802 – 1804 New Paltz belonged to Ulster Circuit of the Philadelphia Conference
• 1804 – Ulster Circuit becomes a part of the New York Conference
• 1809 – Peter Moriarty Serves Circuit
• 1824 – New Paltz Circuit set up. This included New Paltz, Centerville, Cold Spring Corners, Modena, Ardonia, Clintondale and Highland
• 1824 – Nicholus White – Pastor at New Paltz
