Quilters Etc.
This unstructured time of relaxing fellowship is intended to give all crafters an opportunity to work on those UFOs (Un Finished Objects). Bring your quilting, knitting, scrap booking, Christmas cards or other craft projects and join us at 7:00 p.m. the first Thursday of every month.
We also coordinate the New Horizons annual quilt project. The quilt we make is auctioned off during the Bishop's Annual Ingathering in November. Funds raised through the quilt auction help support the mission work of The United Methodist Church.
This year we are asking for blue and white "scrappy" star blocks that are 12 1/2 inches unfinished, to finish at 12 inches in the quilt. We are hoping that as many women as possible can particpate by making blocks and helping to put the quilt together. We would like all blocks turned in by August 4th so we can get the quilt assembled and quilted at the September and October meetings.
