An Original Gift of Music |
|
Just
Cause began as a Praise Band for a Contemporary worship service. The band had ten or more members at that time
and seldom performed outside of the congregation it was founded in. At the beginning the band (then called
“Inspirit”) preformed popular contemporary praise tunes and updated classic
hymns. Over time the band gradually changed from an in-house group to an outreach band. During this process there were changes both in personnel and style – shrinking in size and moving away from music arranged primarily for congregational singing – but still “covering” songs written by others. Jack
Frederick broke the ice by introducing a song of his own… Rob Stippich
followed with other songs and then collaborations followed. Others, including Paul Wallace joined in
with songs and collaborations until most of the music the band was using was
original – music coming from the heart and from personal experiences. Today,
original music is the rule for the group.
The band writes and performs exciting
original music including vibrant, fast paced songs and meaningful
ballads. The style is up-to-date,
upbeat and personal. The songs are
strong and evocative - filled with Spiritual witness, Biblical themes and
Christian truth. |

ß“How Sweet the Song” was the song that turned everything
around for the band and confirmed the move toward original music. It is, in many ways, a theme song for the
band. “The Journey” began as a series of meditative thoughts by Rob Stippich, then became a part of a worship service before finding its home in a song. à |

ß“Losing Faith” is an autobiographic work and speaks
of our need to lose faith in the things of this world before we can find our
faith in God. . à |
