The Wee Care Nursery School was established
by the United Methodist Church of New Carlisle, Indiana in 1982 for the purpose
of providing a half-day Nursery School program that would benefit the child, the
parent, and the community. The school is non-secular, interracial, and
non-political. |

Goals
To provide opportunities for children to interact in a setting conducive to the development of wholesome social
relationships. To provide appropriate play experiences that contribute to the
developmental needs of the child. To provide opportunities for meaningful play
that is based on the child's individual needs, interests, handicaps, and
abilities that will build important foundations for further reading skills, and
other academic and developmental pursuits.

Requirements for Enrollment

Enrollment begins in February for the following school
year.

Age Requirements: A child must be 4 years old by July
1 to enroll in the 3-day Pre-Kindergarten program. A child must be 3 years
old by July 1 to enroll in the 2-day Early Learners program.

A child is required to have a physical before attending the
school

All inoculations must be up to date before attending the
school.

A child must be potty-trained before attending the school.

Financial Requirements
-
A non-refundable registration fee is required with the
enrollment form.

Fees are collected monthly.

Fees will be comparable to hourly babysitting rates.

Sessions
-
School is in session from the first week of September to the
last week of May.
-
The school opens at 9:15 AM and operates until 11:45 AM
daily.
-
School will not be in session for the following holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Good Friday.

Governing Body and Staff
-
The school is governed by a board consisting of five
members. Four of those members are members of the United Methodist Church of
New Carlisle. One member serves as a parent representative.

The Director oversees the daily operation of the school.

The teachers are required to have a high school diploma.
Each teacher oversees a group of children, reinforcing skills and concepts
taught by the Director.

Aides are required to have a high school diploma. They
assist the director and teachers.

All staff are certified in Infant and childhood CPR.
