United Methodist Nursery School employs a staff of teachers with excellent educational backgrounds and exceptional work experience. Each teacher is specially trained and prepared to work with young children. Teachers attend workshops, seminars and educational conferences throughout the year to insure the highest quality program for your child.
United Methodist Nursery School is licensed by the state of Connecticut Department of Public Health and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Since 1958 the United Methodist Nursery School has dedicated itself to promoting the social, physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of pre-school children. We believe that children should work, play, and develop at their own pace in a safe yet stimulating environment. Our teachers encourage their students to express their interests and ideas freely. They work toward helping them develop a sense of responsibility and respect for one another. The children in our program form positive feelings about themselves and the world around them. They make new friends as they work and play in a warm, nurturing setting.
Registration Applications will be accepted from December 5 to January 24. There is an application fee of $150 that is refundable if your child is not offered a space in the program.
New Families are strongly encouraged to attend one of our Open Houses prior to filling out an application. The dates for Open Houses are Thursday, December 5, Tuesday, January 7 and Wednesday, January 22, all at 12:30 p.m. Families will be notified by February 7 if they have a spot in the school.
Children who are currently enrolled, siblings of students and members of the Methodist Church will have a priority for openings.
