Evangelism is a vital part of our congregation's ministry. As Christian disciples we are asked to reach out to others, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. At Neely United Methodist Church, our goal is to create a caring, open and inviting atmosphere for people from diverse age and cultural groups to express and practice their Christian faith. One of the ways we accomplish this is through the Outreach/Social Ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to offer the love and acceptance of God as revealed in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to the end that as people participate in the life of Neely United Methodist Church, they may experience God's love, acceptance, and forgiveness in ways that offer hope and that restore wholeness to life. It is our intent to include you in the life of our congregation, to offer you opportunities for worship, service, prayer, fellowship, to exercise the expression and practice of your faith. Allow God to use you, to share your faith and build your fellowship with others. Outreach Plan 2006-2007 (In Chains for Christ} Currently, we support: In-School/After-School Enrichment Program. The Acts
4:32 Ministry assists those in need within the church and the
community. We are in the initial stage of this ministry and project
an operation date of January 2007. The ministry will focus on
providing spiritual, financial assistance and other resources to persons who
solicit help from Neely. We welcome other members to join and
participate in this endeavor which focuses on reaching out to others and
seeing beyond our own personal needs. The ministry needs donations
in the form of monies, time, non-perishable foods, clothing and toiletries. We
are preparing to make the church "A Community of Shalom" through
this endeavor. This will allow the ministry to network with others
in this area and to provide assistance with gaining resources. Anyone
