Membership Ministry  

Membership Ministry the church reaches out to receive with joy all who will respond and inviting them to commitment  to God’s love in Jesus Christ. When the Pastor open the Doors of the Church/Invitation to Christian Discipleship, a candidate must come forward. The Pastor Receive/ litany, welcome and membership Secretary will rise and stand with Pastor and candidate. Step forward and present the candidate for membership to the church. Membership Secretary record, announce, maintain and report any changes to the Neely Church Family:

·        Full Membership A new convert to Christian Faith, A letter of Transfer, Returning/Restoration of vows, Profession of Faith /Baptized in another Church.

·        Preparatory Membership All (under 18) Children and others who will be enrolled in (confirmation/orientation and preparatory) training for full membership.

·        Affiliate Membership Neely will be your Methodist Church home while you are away from your Methodist Church.

·        Associate Membership Neely will be your Temporary Church home and you keep your membership with your Church denomination

·        Transfers: The names of all persons whose membership is no longer with local Church. in each instance indicating the reason for such transfer.

·        Received: The names of all persons who have completed membership orientation since the conference

·        Removed: The names of all persons whose membership has been terminated since the conference proceeding, in each instance indicating the reason for such termination.
