Higher Education Committee
This committee makes prospective college students aware of scholarship and
loan opportunities through the Board of Higher Education in Nashville.
The committee sponsors workshops, conducts college and
university tours and insures that members of the church are made aware of United
Methodist related institutions of higher learning, especially black United
Methodist Colleges, which provide quality education for youth and adults.

The chairperson of
education shall design and recommend to the Administrative Council an
organization of the education program of the church in keeping with the
standards and policies developed by the General Board of Discipleship
Orientation
Preparatory
Higher Education
shall meet and report quarterly to keep the Administrative Council aware of
Ministry concerns and efforts to provide locally for the promotion and support
of higher education.
