
DISTRICT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE (DLC)
The District Leadership Conference offers training to the laity and clergy through a variety of training classes. If you are new to a committee the DLC is for you. If you have served on a committee for awhile the DLC is still for you because forms and policies change. These changes are always covered in the DLC classes. Pastors the DLC is for you too!

- 1. Organization & Workings of the Finance Committee led by David Snipes from the United Methodist Foundation. This class is for Finance Committees.
- 2. Small Churches & Rural Churches Ministries led by Eden: Jeremy Troxler from Duke Rural Church Fellows. This class is for Members & Pastors of Small or Rural Churches.
- 3. Pastor Parish Relations Committee led by Dr. Sam Moore, District Superintendent. This class is for PPRC committees.
- 4. Trustees Training led by Rev. Dan Ramsey, Madison UMC. This class is for Trustee Committees.
- 5. United Methodist Women led by Jill Joyner, District President UMC. This class is for UMW groups or those interested in starting a UMW.
- 6. Reaching Todays Youth led by Eden: Dianne Jones, Madison DCE and Chandra Caple on the East side and Mt Airy: Rev. Rickey Spencer, Level Cross-Siloam Charge on the West side. This class is for Christian Educators, Youth Teachers and Youth Worker.
- 7. How to be in Ministry with people who don't look or act like me! Led by Ruby Navarro Mossor from UMAR. This class is for those interested in inclusion.
- 8. Missions Outreach Ministries led by Sandra Waldron. This class is for those who have a passion for missions, Mission groups.
- 9. ReThink Church led by Eden: James Carpenter & Louis Learson and Mt Airy: Marty Folsom. This class is for those interested in the ReThink Church campaign or evangelism.
- 10. Understanding and being involved in Hispanic Ministry led by Rev. Sarah Smith from Glenwood UMC. This class is for those interested in learning more about how to minister to Hispanics in their area.
- 11. New Year End Reports led by Lisa Williams, District Office staff. This is mandatory for all Pastors and those who fill out year end reports.
- 12. Fishin’ for the “Power of 3” led by Rev. Dana Bunn, First UMC Randleman in Eden and Sonja Clough, Coordinator of Fishin’ Hole and Rev. Vonnie Vredenburg in Mt Airy. This class will provide resources to assist Churches as they strive to meet Bishop’s benchmark of “Three in WNCC”.
