The NCD Haiti Mission seeks to improve the lives of the people of Dondon through active application of the Gospel message and coordinated investment in development of Dondon’s collective human capital. Our focus is largely on support of the schools operated by the Methodist Church of Haiti in Dondon (K-6) and Cap Haitien (7-12).
Dondon is a small, rural village in the mountainous coffee growing region outside of Cap Haitien. The Mission organizes VIM (Volunteers In Mission) trips to Dondon each year. On previous trips, our teams have funded local labor and provided on-site assistance in repairing the school, painting the church, and renovating a building for use as a community sewing cooperative. |
