The retreat will begin in the church Fellowship Hall with registration from 2 pm to 4 pm. The Gathering will begin at 4 pm. The Book Room will be open from 2 pm to 4 pm and at other times to be announced.

Our leader for this event is the Reverend Doctor Laura Early, pastor of All God's Children UMC.


You are responsible for making your own reservations.
The block of rooms at the two hotels listed below will be held for NCC-UMW until May 1, 2008, Please mention NCCUMW when making reservations.

Who Should Attend?
Local Officers and Members of UMW; District and Conference UMW Officers; District Chairpersons of Outreach Ministries; All men, women and youth of the church who would like to worship God, learn new things and enjoy the fellowship of Christians.

Each year United Methodist Women members prepare themselves for faithful living and action in today's world by taking one of three mission studies through the organization's Schools of Christian Mission program offered around the country. The studies focus on a spiritual growth topic, a geographic area and a current issue. The spiritual growth theme is selected by directors of the Women's Division, United Methodist Women's national administrative body, and developed by the Women's Division, which also provides a text for the study.

Mother Child Retreat
"Come to the Potter for Love through Nature"
September 19-21, 2008

Camp Don Lee

The Mother Child Retreat is sponsored by the North Carolina Conference of United Methodist Women. This is a wonderful opportunity to bond & to share special activities with your child. (children) Registration will begin on Friday night at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall at Camp Don Lee Center. At 8:00 PM we will have a hayride, campfire, camp songs sing along, stories & all types of ball games.

Breakfast is served at 8:00 am on Saturday for participants who arrived on Friday night. Saturday registration will begin at 8:30am. Workshops & activities will begin at 9:30am. If you plan to remain for Sunday Lunch, please add $6.50; also if you sign up for the 4th option add $5.00 more to your registration total cost. All registrations must be received by August 25, 2008. Forms received after this date will be honored only if space is available.

CHILD CARE
Child care will be provided free of charge from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., at St. Andrews UMC, located approximately 1ile north of Methodist University at Ramsey Street & Lofton Drive. Only those children who are pre-registered (use the form on the next page or e-mail) will be accepted. You must provide your child(ren) with a bag lunch. Food can be refrigerated if necessary. Upon arrival at the child care location, parents of children receiving child care will be required to complete a form which discloses any medical or emotional conditions that may require specialized care.
